The Minx & The Maestro

Better Together: That’s the story of Kristen Long and Will Fink from the moment they first met across the stage from one another as dueling pianists. As their musical relationship grew it became evident that their respective strengths complimented each others to form an unstoppable musical force. The Minx draws listeners in with a voice that comes straight from the soul, with a versatility rarely seen; The Maestro plays with unparalleled musical chops on a multitude of instruments leaving listeners in awe. Both have a flare for comedy that brings fun and laughter to every show. Minx & Maestro Productions is currently working on their original animated children’s series, Mandy & The Jam Fam.

Kristen Long has recorded in Nashville, Muscle Shoals and Austin, TX . Releases include Gypsy Soul-EP and full length album Shoebox Memories.  Gypsy Soul, featuring Grammy Nominated cellist Rushad Eggleston (Fiddler’s Four, Tornado Rider, Crooked Still). Additional recording credits include Executive Music Consultant, Songwriter, and pianist on Glennellen Anderson’s PERSPECTIVE album, as well as Songwriter and Executive Producer on Angel’s Sin” featuring Dew Pendleton. Both projects were recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL.
Long is the writer and creator of The Journey: A New Indie Musical that has been featured in the New Orleans Fringe Festival, along with in the 2013 season at the Silver Palm Award winning Outre Theatre Company, and the Arts at Saint John’s 2016 season, of which she Directed, Music Directed and starred in. Kristen was featured on Catt Sirten’s 92Zew Radio Avalon Coffee Table Series in 2015. She is co-founder of the band Long Lost Friend, an original band that has toured extensively throughout the US and Caribbean. Notable performances include CBGB’s, The National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, The Esplanade in Boston, MA, The Cabaret South Beach and Tin Pan Alley in Provincetown, MA.
 As a Vocal Director with Royal Caribbean Productions, Kristen has worked with incredible talent both onstage and among the creative teams. Her work as Music Director includes Spectra’s Cabaret – Anthem of the Seas; Starwater – Quatum of the Seas, Columbus The Musical – Harmony of the Seas; Flight – Symphony of the Seas; Pixels – Ovation of the Seas, and countless others. As a Vocal Coach she has helped her clients climb to great heights, most notably Shelby Brown (The Voice Season 9 semi-finalist, with 3 releases charting in Billboard Country Digital Sales-Peak #5; Peak #13; Peak #31, Billboard Hot Country Songs-Peak #33; Peak #47, Billboard Hot Christian Songs-Peak #2; Peak #8, Billboard Christian Digital Song Sales-Peak #2; Peak #3, and Billboard Digital Song Sales-Peak #42) and up and coming recording artists such as Charli Adams with Color Study Records. As Music Director for Outre Theatre Company, Long has worked on shows such as, Green Day’s American Idiot, Jonathan Larson’s tick, tick…Boom!, Thrill Me (Stephen Dolginoff), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party, and more. Kristen is one half of the music duo The Minx & The Maestro, along with partner William Fink; and Founder of Minx and Maestro Productions, LLC. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Music, in Vocal Performance Degree from Berklee College of Music and is currently enrolled in the Master of Music, in Music Production program with Berklee College of Music. Most recently, Kristen has been awarded a 4-week Artist-Residency along with the Denis Diderot (A-i-R) Grant at Chateau d’Orquevaux in Champagne-Ardenne, France.

The Maestro – Multi-instrumentalist Will Fink has enjoyed a 20+ year career performing, teaching and arranging music. He has composed and performed three original compositions for Ballet Pensacola, was part of the opening act for The Spin Doctors, The Wailers and Blues Traveler while playing with Suburban Shakedown; He co-founded Luna Mantra, and Beyond The Break; and has entertained thousands as a dueling pianist, most notably during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Past credits include: Gainesville Symphony Orchestra: First violin section 1998-1999, Central Florida Symphony Orchestra: Second violin section 1998-1999, Composed, arranged and performed music for the Ballet Pensacola with Luna Mantra 2005/2006, Composed and performed music for “Much Ado About Nothing” and the “Odyssey” at Pensacola Little Theatre 2007/2008, Dueling Pianist: Rosie O’ Grady’s in Seville Quarter (Pensacola, Fl) 2009-2013, Rum Runners (Destin and Panama City Beach, Fl) 2013-2016, NCL Howl at the Moon 2016, Live Bait (Orange Beach, Al) 2017-2018, and toured many other clubs throughout the southeast. Most recently Will arranged and played every instrument on “AVE”, by Kristen Long, as part of Yonder Window Theatre Company’s “Creative Crusade” Project, 2020.
